Have you ever watched “Desperate Housewives”? I bet you did! Even one episode of it is enough for you to radar all these fine ladies with burning temperament and desire to achieve it all with charm, humor, and a hefty dose of sassiness. Well, our talented teammate Chika Vili from the talaint By Human Recruiters family has all these qualities, but even more – she’s never desperate!

With extensive experience in the recruitment field with various roles, she’s one of the first talaint by Human Recruiters members, and she’s here up to date! Constantly embracing new challenges with a clear focus and a straight plan to succeed – she is not to be underestimated. With her unique sense of humor combined with her serious approach toward professional tasks, you need her on your side!

Aside from her professional life, Vili is the mother of a wonderful young gentleman called Maxim. With her husband, they’ve created a magical home filled with warmth and love. A powerhouse engine, always bringing a big bag of positive vibes, feelings, and jokes with her – this is Vili.

With many stories to tell, let’s follow the replies that she gave on her questionnaire now:

Starting with the easiest question, you’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?

I plan to adopt the elephant and gift it to the zoo in Valencia. Trusting the zookeepers to take better care of it than I ever could. With three dogs, a child, and a husband at home, I believe I’ve hit my quota for household pets :P. It is better to leave this majestic creature to the professionals.

What is the biggest assumption people tend to make about you — be it wrong or right?

People usually think I’m so serious, but luckily, I break those expectations every time and turn them into my friends.

What do you love most about working in agency recruitment?

Ever since I was little, I tried to imagine what I would become when I grew up, but the idea of being a recruiter never crossed my mind. Working in a recruitment agency is incredibly thrilling for me, as it allows you to gain insights into a significant portion of the business landscape in your country. It helps you to understand the way different companies are working. And also contributes to their success through the right talent selection.

What do you like least about working in agency recruitment?

Sometimes, lacking specific details and time pressure can put you in a tough spot.

What do you most value in team members?

Teamwork and being friends with your colleagues are key. In today’s hectic and stressful daily life, there’s nothing better than knowing you can count on your team.

What is the most overused or overrated thing that recruiting pros believe about themselves?

In the selection process, there comes a moment with specialization when you think you’ve seen it all. When you look at a certain profile, you believe it tells you everything you need to know. Yes, we’ve probably encountered numerous cases in practice and gained experience, but that shouldn’t make us prejudiced.

Recruiting professionals need to stay open-minded, continuously reassess their methods, and be willing to embrace new and innovative approaches in response to changes in the job market and candidate expectations. Flexibility and a willingness to evolve can contribute to more successful and inclusive hiring practices.

What is your current state of mind as it relates to the current state of recruiting?

I feel like I’m in the right place at the right time, even after two years of motherhood. I’m excited that recruitment is growing and advancing hand in hand with technology.

If you could have dinner with any two famous people, dead or alive, who would you choose?

Dinners are my favorite, especially those filled with joy and humor. I’d choose a comedy actor, and Kevin Hart is a great pick. We can make a prank call to Dwayne Johnson to add some fun.

Most important question: What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Unfortunately, I can’t sing, but with a sufficient amount of alcohol, I can go out and attempt to sing some Evergreen songs.
